Which Insurance Plans Does Advantage Eye Care Accept?
SoonerCare/Medicaid
There are now four SoonerCare options in Oklahoma:
- Original SoonerCare (Medicaid)
- Oklahoma Complete Health
- Aetna Better Health
- Humana Healthy Horizons
We accept the Original SoonerCare and Oklahoma Complete Health plans. We do not currently accept Aetna Better Health or Humana Healthy Horizons.
Vision Plans
We also accept the following for vision coverage:
- VSP (Vision Service Plan)
- Vision Care Direct (VCD/PVC)
If your vision insurance isn't listed above, don't worry—we offer a time-of-service discount:
- Eye exams for just $94
- 10% off materials (like glasses), depending on your selection
What Should You Bring to Your Appointment?
- Insurance Card: If you have one, please bring your insurance card to every appointment.
- No Card? Some vision plans don't issue cards. As long as you know your vision insurance provider, we can look up your coverage and verify benefits.
- Medical Insurance: If you have medical insurance, bring that card as well. Sometimes, your exam may uncover medical concerns (like cataracts, glaucoma, or diabetes-related eye issues) that require us to bill your medical insurance.
How Do We Use Your Insurance?
- Routine Exams: We'll bill your vision insurance for your annual or routine eye exam.
- Medical Concerns: If your doctor finds a medical issue during your exam, we'll file a claim with your medical insurance.
- Copays & Deductibles: If your medical insurance has a copay or deductible, you may receive a statement for any remaining balance after your insurance processes the claim.
